SyncSellr ("we", "our", "us") operates the SyncSellr web application at syncsellr.com and the SyncSellr Cookie Sync Chrome extension (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you register for SyncSellr, we collect your name and email address to create and manage your account.

Session cookies (Chrome extension only): The SyncSellr Cookie Sync extension captures session cookies from facebook.com and gumtree.com only. These cookies are used solely to enable you to publish marketplace listings through the SyncSellr dashboard. No cookies from any other domains are accessed.

Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment data.

Information we do NOT collect:

• Browsing history or URLs you visit
• Page content from any website
• Cookies from any domains other than facebook.com and gumtree.com
• Facebook or Gumtree passwords
• Analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking from the extension
• Any data from web pages you browse

2. How We Use Your Information

Session cookies are used exclusively to authenticate with Facebook Marketplace and Gumtree on your behalf, allowing you to publish, edit, and delist marketplace listings from the SyncSellr dashboard. Cookies are not used for any other purpose.

Account information is used to provide the Service, manage your subscription, send essential service communications (such as trial expiry notifications), and provide customer support.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, or profiling purposes.

3. Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously:

• Encryption in transit: All data between the Chrome extension and our servers is transmitted over HTTPS.
• Encryption at rest: Session cookies are encrypted using AES-256-GCM before being stored in our database. They are only decrypted at the moment they are needed to perform a marketplace action you have initiated.
• Access controls: Your encrypted cookie data is only accessible by our automated publishing system when processing your listing requests.
• Authentication: The Chrome extension authenticates with our API using JWT tokens. Access tokens expire after 15 minutes.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Session cookies are stored for as long as you have an active marketplace connection in SyncSellr. You can disconnect a marketplace at any time from your SyncSellr dashboard, which immediately deletes the stored cookies for that connection.

If you delete your SyncSellr account, all associated data — including stored session cookies, listings, and account information — is permanently deleted.

Uninstalling the Chrome extension removes locally stored authentication data. To also delete server-side cookie data, disconnect your marketplace connections in the SyncSellr dashboard or delete your account.

5. Data Sharing

We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Marketplace platforms: Your session cookies are used to authenticate with Facebook Marketplace and Gumtree when you initiate a listing action. This is the core function of the Service.
• Payment processor: Stripe processes subscription payments. No cookie data is shared with Stripe.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal requests.

We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to any other third parties.

6. Your Rights (UK GDPR)

If you are located in the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
• Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data.
• Restriction: Request that we restrict processing of your data.
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format.
• Objection: Object to our processing of your personal data.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we will also notify you via email or through the SyncSellr dashboard.
